Projetos, Centros e ProgramasPiloto Program for the protection of the Brazilians Forest - PPG-7SubProgram Conservation Unit and Natural Resources ManagementThis Subprogram is a structural part of the Pilot Program for the protection of the Brazilian Tropical Forests - PPG-7. Its objective is to eliminate the institucional deficiences which inhibit the implementation and consolidation of the Brazilian Environmental Policies, besides amplifying knowledge about the ecosytems in the Amazon Region and Mata Atlântica Region, as well as promoting the sustainable use of the natural renewable resources. This Subprogram is constituted of five projects: I. RESEX - Extractivist Reserves: in execution. II. ProManejo - Support to the Sustainable Management in the Amazon Forests: approved. III. VARZEA - Management of the Natural Resources in the Brazilian Floodplains: in negotiation. IV. PARK AND RESERVES: in negotiation. V. PRODESQUE - Monitoring and Control of Deforestment and Fires: in negotiation. The Technical Secretariat which coordinates this Subprogram is of the responsability of IBAMA - The Brazilian Institute for the Environment and the Natural Renewable Resources. The chair is commulative to IBAMA General Planning Coordinator. Each Project iscoordinated by a technical coordinator, who are subordinated to the Technical Secretariat.
